The Hideaway
The Hideaway is in Lower Burgate. It's a wooden lodge in the garden of our house. The house is old, it used to have a wheelwrights and a post office. The lodge is all on one floor.
It sleeps four, but it's one bedroom with a double bed and a sofa bed in the living area. There's one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable.
You've got your own little patio area out the front. The main lawn is shared with us and our kids, we might be out there playing sometimes. There's parking right by the lodge.
It's very quiet here. The best thing is you're directly opposite footpaths into the New Forest. You can walk for miles straight from the door. We've got space to lock bikes up if you bring them.
The village shop and a pub are about a mile away. There's a restaurant a few minutes' walk down the road. Fordingbridge is a mile or so, that's got more shops and cafes, and the river.
For days out, the Moors Valley Country Park is close. The New Forest Water Park is nearby if you want watersports. You can drive to Salisbury or the coast at Bournemouth in under half an hour. Winchester, Southampton, and the Stonehenge site are all within about 45 minutes.
Inside there's a TV, WiFi, a washing machine, and a fitted kitchen. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair.
