The Cottage At Boscobel
The Cottage at Boscobel is a bungalow on our drive in Brockenhurst. It's detached, so it's just you in there. The garden's enclosed, which is handy. It looks out onto our field.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms. One bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well set up. Everything's on one level which makes it easy. The entrance and doorways are wide enough for a wheelchair.
You're right on the edge of the New Forest. Walk out the gate and you're on the heath. The ponies and cows wander past regularly, sometimes right up to the fence.
It's about a ten minute walk into Brockenhurst village. There's a train station, a few shops, and some pubs that do food. For a bigger shop, Lymington is about six miles. They've got a good Saturday market and marinas if you're into boats. You can get the ferry to the Isle of Wight from there.
Beaulieu is also six miles away for the motoring museum and the house. The coast at Milford-on-Sea is about fifteen minutes by car. If you fancy a day out, the New Forest National Park website has walking routes. The National Trust look after a lot of places nearby too.
Inside, there's a washing machine, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside. No pets, I'm afraid. You can store bicycles.
