Cosy Cottage is on Flora Road in Lyndhurst. It's a semi-detached cottage. From the front it looks like most houses on the street, which is a quiet one.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own ensuite shower rooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's well-equipped and comfortable. The layout is a bit different. The front door opens into the dining area. From there you go into the kitchen, then through to the living room. There's a toilet on the ground floor too.
The garden is at the back. It's enclosed, which is why we allow up to two dogs. There's a patio and a bit of lawn.
Lyndhurst village starts about five minutes walk away. That's where the shops, cafes and pubs are. You can walk the other direction, about two minutes, and you're straight onto the open forest.
For days out, the New Forest National Park website has good walking and cycling routes. Beaulieu National Motor Museum is about a 15-20 minute drive. Lymington, for ferries to the Isle of Wight, is about ten minutes by car. The coast at Mudeford or Barton-on-Sea is about a 20 minute drive.
Inside, there's a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. Parking is for one car on the front drive.
Because both bedrooms are ensuite and the living space is all on the ground floor, it sometimes works well for two couples or someone with limited mobility. There's a step at the front door.
