Lantern Cottage
Lantern Cottage is an end of terrace house in Lyndhurst. It's a four star place, which means it's nice and comfortable. It's for up to four people, with two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's been refurbished recently.
The stairs are standard, just normal stairs. There's an enclosed garden out the back. It's got a wood burner in the living room.
Lyndhurst village is about a seven minute walk away, all on the flat. It's got pubs, cafes, and a couple of supermarkets. They call it the capital of the New Forest. The open forest starts not far from the house, so you can walk straight out.
You can get to the coast in about fifteen minutes by car. Lymington is ten minutes away if you want to watch the boats or get the ferry to the Isle of Wight.
For days out, Beaulieu Motor Museum is close by. Paultons Park is about a twenty minute drive. The New Forest itself is the main thing, really. The New Forest National Park Authority site has good information for planning walks and cycling.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, WiFi, and parking on site. Bedding and towels are included. One well-behaved dog is welcome. There is a step at the front door.
