Stonecot is my place in Wootton on the Isle of Wight. It's a bungalow, so it's all on one level. No stairs.
It sleeps three. There's a double bedroom and a single bedroom. One shower room. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean but not luxurious.
The garden is mainly lawn. It gets the sun in the afternoon. Sometimes, if you're here in early summer, wild orchids come up in the grass.
You're about a five minute walk from a little shingle beach. It's quiet. You get a good view across the Solent to Portsmouth. You'll see ships going past and the Spinnaker Tower. Red squirrels are around the area a lot. You'll probably see one.
Wootton itself has a shop and a pub, about a mile and a half walk. Ryde is a ten minute drive. That's got everything: a big sandy beach, shops, places to eat, a swimming pool. It's handy.
For a day out, Osborne House is close by. So is Quarr Abbey. Carisbrooke Castle is about twenty minutes drive. Cowes is fifteen minutes if you're into boats.
It has WiFi, a TV, a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. Parking is for one car on the drive. No pets, I'm afraid.
