Stonecot is in the village of Wootton, on the Isle of Wight. It's a bungalow, so everything's on one level. That makes it simple.
It sleeps three. Two bedrooms, one shower room. It’s got a 3 Star rating, which is accurate. It’s comfortable and clean. The garden is lawned, and part of it’s left to grow a bit wild in the summer. There's a patio with a table and chairs.
There’s a small, quiet shingle beach about a three minute walk away. You get a clear view across the Solent to Portsmouth from there. You'll see the Spinnaker Tower and the ships going in and out. Red squirrels are common around here. You'll probably see one.
The closest shop and pub are in Wootton, about a mile and a half away. Ryde is a short drive. It’s a proper seaside town with a long sandy beach, shops, and places to eat. They’ve got tennis and bowling on the promenade.
You’re well placed for getting around. Osborne House is about fifteen minutes by car. Carisbrooke Castle is maybe twenty. Cowes is under half an hour away if you’re interested in the sailing. For walks or birdwatching, the National Trust looks after a lot of the coastline here.
Inside, there’s a washing machine, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are provided. There’s parking for one car right outside. No pets, I'm afraid.
