High House

High House is in Happisburgh, on the Norfolk coast. It's a thatched cottage built around 1820, so it's a proper old building. It's on three floors.

It sleeps up to eight people. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms. One king-size bedroom is on the first floor with a pull-out sofa bed. The top floor has the other bedroom, which is quite big and has a king-size bed and two singles. That one has an en-suite shower. It's got a 4 Star rating.

The stairs are steep. That's just how it is in these old places. The living room has a wood burner. The kitchen has a high ceiling. There's a utility room and a bathroom with a shower over the bath downstairs, which is handy.

You get the front and back gardens. They look out over fields. From the top floor you can see the sea. You might spot seals.

The village is quiet. The beach is sandy and long, good for walking. The lighthouse is the oldest working one in the country. It's a short walk away.

For a day out, the Norfolk Broads are about a 20 minute drive. The market town of North Walsham is about 15 minutes away. Cromer is half an hour up the coast.

Facilities wise: it's got parking, WiFi, a washing machine, a dishwasher, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a high chair if you need them. You can bring up to two dogs.
