Eden Hall Cottage
This is Eden Hall Cottage in Bacton, Norfolk. It sleeps ten, which we found worked well for a couple of families travelling together. There are five bedrooms and four bathrooms, so there's no big queue in the morning.
It's a five-star property, which mostly means it's well-equipped and kept to a high standard. It doesn't feel fussy, though.
The garden is fully enclosed with high walls, which is good if you have dogs or small children. There's a fire pit and a BBQ out there.
Inside, the kitchen is large and has everything you'd need. The stairs are fine, just be aware that it's an older building so some of the doorways are a bit lower than modern ones.
Bacton itself is quiet. The beach is about a twenty minute walk away, or a couple of minutes in the car. It's sandy and good for dogs. There's a shop and a couple of pubs in the village. Bacton Woods is good for walks.
If you want to explore, the coast road runs north and south. Mundesley is a few minutes south. Cromer is about half an hour north and has a pier and the usual seaside things. Sheringham is a bit further. Wroxham, for the Broads, is about a 25 minute drive inland.
For a longer day out, Norwich is roughly 40 minutes away. It has the cathedral, the castle museum, and good shopping.
Facilities are all here: parking on site, WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We provide a cot, highchair, and stairgate. We accept up to three dogs.
