Willow Cottage

Willow Cottage is in Repps. It's detached. You get the whole garden and it looks out over the River Thurne. The views are very good.

There's a first floor balcony you can stand on and watch the river. There's usually a lot of birdlife and boating activity. The cottage sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It has a 4 Star rating.

The stairs inside are spiral. They're also quite steep. There are also low beams in some rooms, so you'll need to watch your head.

The garden wraps around the house. There's a small footbridge that leads down to the river's edge. You can fish right there if you want. You can moor a boat if you have one, but you need to ask us about that beforehand.

The owner's own holiday home is somewhere on the grounds. They might visit occasionally, but otherwise you'll have the place to yourself. The land here is a certified County Wildlife Site, with marshes and woods. It's quiet.

For walking or cycling, the Weavers Way footpath is nearby. You can follow the river towpath to Potter Heigham. That's about two miles away. Potter Heigham has a couple of cafes, a pub, and Lathams store. You can hire day boats or kayaks from there.

For a day at the coast, Sea Palling beach is about nine miles. Hemsby and Winterton-on-Sea are similar distances. They all have good sandy beaches.

Norwich is about a 30 minute drive if you need a city. Cathedrals, the castle, shops, that sort of thing.

In terms of facilities, it's got a woodburning stove, WiFi, a washing machine, and bedding and towels are included. The garden has a patio. The entrance is wheelchair accessible, but the spiral stairs inside mean the upstairs isn't. You can bring up to two dogs.
