The Hollies is in Bastwick, a little village in Norfolk. It's a big Victorian house, detached, so you get your own space. The garden is completely enclosed.
It sleeps twelve, in five bedrooms. There are three bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. There's a separate annexe in the garden, which is all on one level. It's handy if some of your group want a bit of quiet, or if anyone struggles with stairs.
The main thing outside is the pool. It's heated, and it's open in the warmer months. There's a seating area next to it. There's also a games room in the garden, which is useful if the weather turns.
There's a shop about five minutes' walk away. For a pub or a cafe, you'd go to Potter Heigham, which is about a mile. It's a riverside village on the Broads. You can hire boats there, or canoes and paddleboards. It's a good spot for fishing too.
The Norfolk coast is a short drive. Winterton-on-Sea is about fifteen minutes away. It's a nice sandy beach with dunes. Great Yarmouth is further along if you want the traditional seaside, with all the amusements.
Norwich is under an hour's drive for a day out shopping. For family trips, there's Bewilderwood or the Dinosaur Adventure Park within about forty minutes.
Facilities wise: you've got the pool, the games room, a wood burner, a dishwasher, washing machine, and parking on site. Bedding and towels are included. We take up to four dogs.
