Rock Cottage is in Bakewell. It's a stone-built Victorian place for two people. You get one bedroom and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating.
The cottage is on three floors. The kitchen and a little dining area are on the ground floor. The living room is on the first floor. The bedroom with the en-suite shower is on the top floor.
The stairs are quite steep and narrow. They're the original ones. You need to be steady on your feet.
It's about a five minute walk down into the middle of Bakewell. The walk back is up the hill, but you get the views for it. There are plenty of shops, cafes, and pubs there.
You get an off-road parking space right outside. That's useful in Bakewell.
Outside, there's a small patio with a table and chairs. It looks out over the town.
For things to do, you're right in the Peak District National Park. Good walking from the door. The Monsal Trail is close by for walking or cycling. Chatsworth House is about a 15 minute drive. Haddon Hall is even closer. Thornbridge Brewery is just outside town if you like that sort of thing.
What's here: WiFi, TV, a washing machine, bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
