The Beach Retreat is a first-floor apartment in Duporth, near St Austell. It's part of a small converted building. You get one allocated parking space.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms. One double and one with two singles. One bathroom. It has a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. The stairs up to the apartment are the original building stairs, so they're a bit steep and winding. Just so you know.
The place itself is open-plan. Kitchen, dining and living area all together. It's modern, clean and has everything you'd need, like a dishwasher and washing machine. There's a shared garden outside the building with some seating.
The main thing is the location. You're right on the coast. There's a private beach for residents, which you can get to through a gate about a six minute walk away. The South West Coast Path is accessed the same way. You can be on the path looking at the sea very quickly.
Charlestown Harbour is about a mile along the coast. It's a proper old harbour with tall ships. There are pubs and restaurants there. Porthpean beach is the other direction, also about a mile.
St Austell town is a mile inland for shops. The big attractions like the Eden Project and The Lost Gardens of Heligan are within a 20 minute drive. You can get to the Roseland Peninsula or down towards Mevagissey easily.
Facilities are all included: bedding, towels, wifi, TV. We can put up a cot and highchair if you need them. There's no garden that's just yours, but you can use the shared one. No pets.
If you book over Christmas, we can put up a tree and some decorations. Just let us know.
