This is Spa Cottage in Mevagissey. It's a three-storey fisherman's cottage from the 1800s. It's on a little back lane off the main harbour.
It sleeps four, but there's only one proper bedroom. That's on the top floor. It's a double bed under sloping ceilings. Mind your head on the doorway. There's a small dressing room next to it with a toilet and a tumble dryer.
The first floor is the main living room. It's a good, bright space. There's a wood burner. The sofa folds out into a double bed for the extra two guests. The stairs between all the floors are quite steep, so it's not great for very young kids or if you have trouble with steps.
Down on the ground floor is the kitchen diner and a modern bathroom with a walk-in shower. Outside is a small courtyard with a table and chairs. You don't get parking with the cottage. You can pull up to unload, but then you'll need to use one of the pay car parks in the village.
You're right in the middle of Mevagissey. It's a two minute walk to the harbour. It's a working fishing port, so it's a proper place, not just a pretty one. There are shops, pubs, and places to get pasties and fish and chips. The Coastal Path goes right through if you want a walk.
For bigger trips, The Eden Project is about 20 minutes drive. The Lost Gardens of Heligan are maybe 10 minutes away. St Austell is close for bigger supermarkets. You can get to quite a few different beaches within half an hour, depending on what you're after.
Facilities: there's WIFI, a TV, the wood burner, a washing machine, and bedding and towels are provided. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
