Pine Lodge is in Doe Hole, near Tansley. It's a bungalow-style lodge, all on one floor at the front, but it's built on a slope. The back has a lower ground floor with extra rooms. It sleeps a lot of people, up to eleven.
There are three proper bedrooms for seven, and then two sofa beds for another four. One sofa bed is in the main living room, the other is in a separate snug room downstairs. That gives you some space to spread out. There are two bathrooms.
The decking out the back gets the sun in the afternoon. You can park about five cars on the driveway.
It's got a 4 Star rating. Everything's there, it's clean and comfortable. The style is modern lodge.
Tansley village is quiet. There's a shop. There are a few pubs within a short drive, a couple within walking distance if you don't mind a hill. The local garden centres have good cafes.
For getting out, you're right on the edge of the Peak District. You can walk straight onto some paths. Carsington Water is about ten minutes away for sailing or a walk. The High Peak and Tissington Trails are close by for cycling.
Matlock Bath is about five minutes down the road. It's got the attractions along the river, Gulliver's Kingdom for kids, and the cable car up to the heights. Chatsworth House is about twenty-five minutes' drive. Crich Tramway Museum is ten minutes away.
Things here: all bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, Wi-Fi, and a TV. We provide a cot and highchair. You can store bikes. The lodge is Christmas themed in December. Pets are welcome, up to three.
