The Coach House is in Wirksworth. It's the old stable block from back when the town had an Inspector of Mines. It's been done up inside so it's warm and modern, but you can see the old timbers and brickwork.
It sleeps four. Two double bedrooms, both with their own en-suite shower room. One's up in the old hayloft. They both look out over the fields at the back. The stairs are a standard flight, nothing too steep.
You're a five minute walk from the market place. Wirksworth has butchers, bakers, a co-op, and a few decent pubs. The town's got a good history if you're into that.
For walking, you can pick your level. A flat stroll along the Cromford Canal is lovely. Or you can head straight up into the hills from your door. Black Rocks is a short, steep climb with a big view. Carsington Water is about ten minutes by car. It's a big reservoir with an eight mile path all the way round, good for walking or cycling. They do sailing and other water sports there too.
Matlock Bath is a ten minute drive. It's an odd place, like a seaside town but in a valley. There are fish and chip shops, arcades, and the cable car up the Heights of Abraham. Chatsworth House is about twenty five minutes away. You'd need most of a day for that.
The place has a wood burner, a smart TV, fast wifi, and a dishwasher. The kitchen has an induction hob and an eye-level oven. There's a garden area and parking for two cars. You can bring up to two dogs.
