Holly Cottage is in Kelstedge, a village on the edge of the Peak District. It's a semi-detached stone cottage and you get the whole place to yourselves.
It sleeps six in three double bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, one with a shower and one with a shower over the bath. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped.
The layout is straightforward. You come in through a sort of boot room, which is handy. There's a kitchen with a sitting area by the patio doors, a living room with a gas log burner, and a utility room with a toilet.
Outside, there's a bit of a split-level garden. There's a patio right outside the doors, then a couple of steps up to a table and chairs. Further up is a decked area with a bench that gets the afternoon sun. There's parking for three cars on the drive.
The pub is directly opposite the cottage. They do food all day and it's popular with locals. For walks, you can head straight out from the door into the surrounding countryside.
Matlock is about three miles away for shops and cafes. Matlock Bath is a bit further and has a distinctive seaside feel. Chatsworth House is a 20-minute drive. Chesterfield, with its crooked spire church, is about 15 minutes in the other direction.
Facilities include a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and bedding and towels are provided. You can bring up to two dogs.
