Bellshill Bothy
Bellshill Bothy is a detached cottage about two miles inland from the Northumberland coast. It's on six acres of its own land, a mix of garden and woodland. You can get to the beach at places like Alnmouth or Warkworth in about ten minutes by car.
The place sleeps six. Three bedrooms, all with their own bathroom or shower room. It's got a 5 Star rating, so it's well equipped and comfortable. One bedroom is on the ground floor, the other two are upstairs.
It has a wood burning stove, a hot tub in the garden, and a BBQ hut. The kitchen is open plan with a dining area. There's a second sitting room as well. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, all that's included.
The local shop is in Shilbottle, about two miles away. Alnwick has the main supermarkets. The Northumberland Coast National Trust page is good for planning walks. The beaches and dunes here are very quiet, even in summer.
Alnwick Castle and Gardens is a fifteen minute drive. Craster, for the kippers and the walk to Dunstanburgh Castle, is about twenty minutes. You can get up to Bamburgh Castle and the Farne Islands boat trips from Seahouses in under half an hour.
