Shepherd's Cottage is in Elwick, just outside a small village. It's a single-storey building, part of a small group of cottages on a working farm. You get your own garden that's enclosed.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. There's a king size bed and two twin rooms. The rating is 3 Star. It's clean and comfortable, not luxurious. Being single-storey, there are no stairs to worry about.
The kitchen is separate from the living area. It has a washer, dryer and dishwasher. There's an electric fire in the lounge. TV with Freeview. WiFi is available.
You can bring one dog. There's a charge for that. We can provide a cot if needed. All bedding and towels are included. Parking is right outside.
Bamburgh is about five miles away. The beach is huge and the castle is impressive. There are a couple of good pubs and places to eat there.
Holy Island, Lindisfarne, is close too. You have to drive across a causeway. Check the tide timetables or you'll get stuck. The castle and priory are worth seeing.
Alnwick Castle and Gardens are about a 20 minute drive. It's the one used in the Harry Potter films. Further afield, you're within half an hour of places like Alnmouth, Seahouses, and Craster for walking.
