Scale Force offers lovely accommodation in the heart of the Borrowdale Valley - a walker’s paradise. The cottage lies at the foot of Honister Pass, above the hamlet of Seatoller overlooking Hause Gill and England’s most beautiful valley. It has been renovated to 5* standards with tasteful, luxurious furnishings and top quality appliances. The owner’s brief was to create a stunning bolt hole in a beautiful location and this has certainly been fulfilled. From the top of the range appliances in the kitchen to the sleek, uncluttered, clean bathrooms this is a place where guests will want to return to again and again. To the front of the property there is a picnic area with a table and bench which overlooks the ghyll and across to fabulous views of the valley. The Langstrath Pub in nearby Stonethwaite, offer beverages and home made food, and there is a lovely bar and restaurant at the nearby Glaramara Centre, which is only a 5-minute walk away. There is a farm shop and tea room in Rosthwaite, one and a half miles away and many more amenities in nearby Keswick. Derwentwater, Buttermere and Crummock Water are all close by with many fantastic walks on the surrounding fells, including Scafell Pike and Haystacks. It is possible to climb many of England’s highest mountains straight from the cottage’s front door. Shop 8 miles, pub and restaurant ¾ mile.
