Discover the quieter side of the Lakes and book a trip to Harecroft Hall, where glamping can also include luxury and comfort. These 4 pods can comfortably accommodate up to 4 guests each, with a double bed and sofa bed. They are perfect for a back to nature getaway, be it a romantic break away with a loved one, or with a young family, you will have a memorable stay.
Set within the walled garden of Harecroft Hall which is steeped in history, you are surrounded by amazing woodland, walks and breathtaking scenery right from your door. The open plan layout has a living area with large French doors opening out onto the decked sitting area. The kitchen may be basic, but you will have everything you need to make a hearty meal, but there is such a good choice of local places to eat, you can leave the washing up for another day. Head for the double bed, with sumptuous bedding for a good night’s sleep, and wake up revived, then enjoy the refreshing shower in the adjacent room.
Evenings are perfect to sit outside and star gaze with the gentle bubbles of the hot tub after a full day out of exploring. There is little light pollution so be sure to look up and spot a shooting star. What is better than to create memories and toast marshmallows over the fire pit, or dine al fresco with the charcoal barbecue, just remember to save a sausage or two for your four legged friend. The owners have your comfort and luxury in mind, but also realise that your family pet will want to come away with you too.
These dog friendly pods are the perfect base for walkers and it means you get to enjoy the area together. Nearby Gosforth is just a short walk from the pod where there are traditional pubs serving home cooked meals, a popular Italian restaurant and an equally tempting bakery. A large local grocery store has all those essential items you need, and be sure to have a look around the local gallery and gift shop too. You will soon discover how unique this place is. Just a few miles away and you have endless dog friendly sandy beaches at Seascale and St Bees. Be sure to catch the evening sunsets, you will not be disappointed. Golfers can enjoy a round of golf at Seacscale, taking in views over to the Isle of Man and the Scottish coastline, whilst walkers have an abundance of walks of all levels.
