This spacious three bedroom holiday apartment is located on the ground floor of the main barn and benefits from private parking and views across the courtyard to the surrounding pastures. Byre Cottage features two spacious double rooms, the first with a kingsize bed and en-suite shower room, and the second with a kingsize bed. Both bedrooms have plenty of space and storage for your belongings. A further twin bedroom makes the property suitable for larger families and is also ideal if you have multiple couples looking for a property with plenty of space and privacy. The main bathroom has a shower over the bath, great for a soak after a day full of fun. The comfortable and spacious living room has original beams and plenty of character, and the well-equipped kitchen and large separate dining room provides you with everything you need to prepare a hearty meal and celebrate your time on holiday. The courtyard has a picnic bench, ideal for dining alfresco with a glass of wine and enjoying the sun. Well behaved dogs are welcome to come along and there are plenty of dog friendly pubs and restaurants in the area, as well as some beautiful walks available nearby.

Its quiet village location means that you can escape your busy lifestyle and retreat to the countryside in no time. There is an excellent pub and restaurant serving a range of local cask ales and great food just 200 yards away. There is good access to plenty of walking and cycle routes nearby, as well as more challenging fells including Skiddaw, Catbells, Latrigg and Blencathra to name a few. You can walk to Bassenthwaite lake, and Keswick, Cockermouth and the surrounding Lakeland Fells are just a few miles away. The Lake District Wildlife Park, 1 mile, has over 100 species of wild animals, great fun for all the family. Also nearby is The Lakes Distillery offering tasting tours and producers of fine whisky, gin and vodka - always a hit with the adults.
