The popular coastal village of Southerness has undoubtedly some of the most outstanding views of the Solway Firth to the English Lake District. A short walk from Lakeland View lets you explore the beach and the striking white landmark of the Lighthouse, or challenge yourself on the championship golf course. There is plenty to keep the kids occupied with a variety of facilities open in the seasonal months including the indoor swimming pool, adventure playground and amusement arcade. Most of all though there is miles of expansive beach for them to explore! With two well stocked shops, a fish and chip shop and a Bar and Restaurant you might not need to venture any further than Lakeland View. If you do Lakeland View is the ideal location from which to explore beautiful Dumfries and Galloway from walking, sailing and mountain biking at the world famous 7 Stanes range at Mabie Forest or Dalbeattie Forest.
