Hangingshaw Farm Cottages are made up of this original farm house and converted outbuildings set around a courtyard. The cottages are located next to Lockerbie Lorry Park. There is minimal noise in the cottages and the lorry park has a bar, shop and restaurant on-site. Hangingshaw is conveniently situated for the A74 making it an ideal base for exploring the Scottish Borders to the west, south into the Lake District National Park and north to Edinburgh and Glasgow. Locally in Dumfries and Galloway there are stunning abbeys, historic castles, stately mansions and long, sandy coastlines. You can enjoy long walks in every kind of beautiful scenery from rolling hills and lush forests to sweeping beaches. Hangingshaw is on a designated cycle route and there is also world class mountain biking on the 7stanes, fantastic fishing and brilliant bird watching at Caerlaverock and Mersehead. Shop, pub and restaurant 50 yards.
