This stunning two-bedroom bungalow has been fully refurbished and is new to the market for 2022. It offers the perfect retreat for families and couples wanting to explore the West Cumbrian Coast and its beaches and seaside towns. Plus, you can easily access the fells, lakes, and beauty of The Lake District National Park. Loch Ken Cottage has been beautifully designed with guest comfort high on the list of priorities. With stylish interior décor and high-quality furniture throughout, you can relax from the moment you arrive. All rooms are located on the ground floor meaning it’s ideal for young children and guests who are less mobile. The open plan living room and dining room features plenty of easy seating, a large Smart TV with complimentary Netflix for your enjoyment. For the Christmas and New Year period, the cosy living room will have a decorated Christmas tree and other festive decorations to give that "homely" feel at this special holiday time. The kitchen features a good range of modern appliances, perfect for cooking up a feast. The large windows provide plenty of natural light throughout the property and at the rear you’ll find a lawned garden complete with four seater patio set and table so you can sit out and enjoy the sunshine, ideal for a glass of wine after a day of adventure. The bungalow offers two good-sized bedrooms with comfortable beds and plenty of storage and hanging space. The master has a double bed and the second is a twin. You’ll absolutely love the bathroom, it has a high-tech double shower with twin shower heads and multi jets, designed for two people, with steam function and aromatherapy oils provided. It features built in speakers and Bluetooth so you can connect your mobile and listen to your favourite music while you shower.
Seaton is a lovely village just 2 miles from the Cumbrian coast with two excellent pubs within walking distance and shops nearby. The major town of Workington offers your usual high street brands and supermarkets if you want to stock up on your shopping. Nearby Maryport with a lovely harbour, a great selection of pubs and coffee shops is a great town to have a wander around on a sunny day. Visit the Senhouse Museum or the Wave Centre with climbing walls. It also has a semi-links golf course just up the coast. This property is central to several popular tourist attractions. Jump in the car and you are just 20 minutes from the long stretch of beach at Allonby or 25 minutes to the sandy beaches of St Bees. The popular harbour of Whitehaven is just 20 minutes away as is the traditional market town of Cockermouth with an abundance of eateries, café’s delis, and independent shops. You can reach the tourist magnet of Keswick in 30 minutes and Bassenthwaite with The Lake District Wildlife Park and The Lakes Distillery in 25 minutes. If you love the outdoors, there’s beautiful scenery and popular walking trails all around. One of the most scenic areas of The Lake District is the drive via Loweswater, Crummock and Buttermere over the Honister pass around the side of Derwentwater to Keswick, so if you like natural beauty and sightseeing, this is one not to be missed.
