Bring together your nearest and dearest in this prestigious comfortable and very spacious Victorian country house. Brackenrigg House is very well equipped and has five large en-suite bedrooms comfortably accommodating up to ten guests.
Perfect for your large group of friends or extended family holiday in the Lake District. It has a huge large veranda across the front overlooking spectacular views of Helvellyn. Its double-aspect living room with bay windows and a wood burner opens onto large kitchen/dining room with a handmade oak kitchen and butler sink. There is also a laundry/drying/boot room with large commercial washing machine and lots of drying space and another butler sink for cleaning muddy boots! Plus the added fun of a games room with an air hockey table, lots of board games and books. The large double-aspect master suite also has a spa bath and separate shower.
We think you’ll find the house a really comfortable and well-equipped home, able to absorb your group with ease, we’ve tried to think of everything you’ll need to make the house work for your holiday, and our aim is to exceed your expectations! Centrally heated throughout, of course, with wood burners in the living room and games room. A spacious holiday house enjoying superb views of the Dodds Range to Helvellyn, and to the North to Blencathra through the large windows. Outside there are spacious and beautiful gardens, meadows and woodland, a large car parking area, and an attractive summer house with a patio area, BBQ and outdoor dining. The summer house is perfect for cooler evenings. There is a large children’s play area available with football nets, a play castle and climbing frame, a sand pit and play equipment.
The property is nestled in a rural location, but still close to places such as Keswick. Beach 25 miles. Pub and restaurant 2¾ miles.
