Set out over three floors, you enter Meadow View on the first floor into a spacious living/dining room, and downstairs on the ground floor there’s a large kitchen with dining table and a utility room with separate toilet. On the top floor are two bedrooms, a double and a twin, and a bathroom with shower cubicle, separate bath and toilet. Parking for one car is in front of the cottage.
Levens is a pretty village at the gateway to the Lake District National Park, and is easily accessible from the M6 and A590. Meadow View is an 18th-century, terraced cottage overlooking the largest field in Westmorland with views to the Yorkshire Dales and the Bowland Fells. It’s close to the church, local pub which is popular for its food and just a short walk from the village shop.
Close at hand is the osprey sanctuary of Foulshaw Moss. A short drive and you’ll find Cartmel, a traditional Cumbrian village with its 12th-century priory, racecourse and famed sticky toffee pudding. If visiting the coast is of interest, why not head to the popular Edwardian resort of Grange-over-Sands with its parks and cafés, Roanhead Beach near Ulverston, the limestone cliffs at Humphrey Head or the Arnside and Silverdale Peninsula?
Within easy driving are the popular Lakeland towns of Windermere, Ambleside and Coniston, and Kirby Lonsdale is less than 20 minutes’ away at the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The nearby town of Kendal also has plenty to offer with shops, restaurants, museums, a golf course, leisure centre with swimming pool and the renowned Brewery Arts Centre.
