Borrowans is a unique barn conversion, designed with the living areas on the first floor which provides stunning views of the surrounding countryside. It has three double bedrooms on the ground floor, with an en-suite as well as a family bathroom.
Located in the quiet village of Newbiggin-on-Lune, it is just a short drive from the market town of Kirkby Stephen where you will find a wide range of amenities, including independent shops, cafes and pubs as well as supermarkets. The neighbouring village of Ravenstonedale has two award-winning pubs as well as a 9-hole golf course.
The village is set at the foot of the Howgills, which form a triangle of mountains between the communities of Sedbergh, Ravenstonedale and Tebay. The Howgills makes for excellent walking and Wainwright considered them some of his favourites. They are still relatively undiscovered, and you can walk there for miles without seeing another soul. The location is also ideally placed for exploring both the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks.
