Cranmore House dates back to the 1600s when it was a collection of miners cottages in England’s highest village. There is a cosy log burner for those romantic nights, and an Aga-Rayburn cooker in the large open plan kitchen/dining area. Spacious and full of country charm, we sleep six in two super kingsize beds and one double. Explore the breath-taking North Pennines in Cumbria; the landscapes have long been described as England’s last wilderness. Red squirrels, deer, pheasants, grouse, rabbits, and other wildlife can be seen from the windows and garden.
Visit the nearby waterfalls, sweeping vistas and underground mines not to mention amazing walks, fishing, cycling and even skiing on your doorstep. Cranmore House is perfectly positioned between the Lake District, Northumberland, North Yorkshire, and County Durham border, which means that you can explore not one but four beautiful counties, all different.
