Tucked up the end of a small and private lane nestles The Smithy, a quaint detached stone built cottage. Originally built in the 1850’s, this charming property now offers a cosy retreat for couples within walking distance of the facilities within the picturesque village of Ovington set within the Tyne Valley. Ovington is situated just over a mile from Prudhoe, where there is a Riverside Country Park on the banks of the river Tyne close by. Prudhoe sits equidistant between Hexham to the west and Gateshead to the east; both being 13 miles.
