The living room has a lovely corner style sofa to curl up on and a beautiful log burning stove to get cosy on cooler nights with a Smart TV for your entertainment. Through to the open plan dining room and kitchen, with modern styling and well equipped with up to the minute appliances, and a separate utility with washer and dryer. Off to bed and there are three spacious bedrooms, two with king size beds and the third a twin room. There is a family bathroom with a separate bath and step in cubicle with double shower and downstairs an additional toilet. Sure to be a big hit with the whole family is the six-person hot tub, set within the patio area and looking out across uninterrupted countryside views, a lovely area to socialise with table and chairs to enjoy al fresco meals in the warmer weather. It’s also a great place to enjoy a spot of stargazing as you’ll find some amazing dark skies here.
The historic city of Durham, with its magnificent cathedral and river boat trips; the market town of Barnard Castle, with its 12th century castle, and medieval Raby Castle are all just a short drive away. The open air Kynren Medieval spectacle takes place just 8 miles away and is hugely popular with visitors to the area.
The award-winning Beamish Open-Air Museum is just 30 minutes away and is well worth a visit. Also, just a short distance from the A68 for journeys to and from Scotland, offering a perfect base to explore North England with easy access to both coast and country.
