This apartment exudes space and light throughout, with three bedrooms sleeping up to seven people, some with sea views to wake up to on a morning, fully tiled en-suite shower rooms and a gorgeous large bath in the main bathroom. The spacious master bedroom has a kingsize bed and single, and there are two further bedrooms. On arrival there is gated parking for one car, and being on a prime site in Whitley Bay known as The Esplanade, everything is within a short walk, simply park up your car and let the holiday begin.
Directly across from the apartment is the beautiful promenade stretching in both directions along this fabulous stretch of coastline, with three beaches nearby and numerous restaurants, coffee shops and bars to stop off along the way. The sandy beach is perfect for families, to walk, sit or explore the rock pools when the tide is out. For food and drink, you’ll be spoilt for choice with a good standard and variety of restaurants within a short distance, with Turkish, Indian, Italian, or fish restaurants nearby. Whitley Bay is well known for the Spanish City, completely renovated inside and out, with a lovely champagne bar on the top floor maximising the views, and a tea room for high teas. Outside is a friendly real ale bar, a popular stopping off place for locals out walking.
The coastline stretches along to Cullercoats, Tynemouth and the North Shields Fish Quay, which is popular with locals with an abundance of eating places and trendy bars, cafés and bespoke shops. Tynemouth is famed for surfing competitions, and you often see surfers out on the waves. Whitley Bay has a lovely Playhouse and it is worth looking to see what is on in advance when you come to stay as it is only a few minutes’ walk away. There is also the large Waves Leisure Centre for the children. The local metro station is nearby, linking you to Newcastle city centre where you will find an abundance of shops, restaurants, galleries and great nightlife. Lovely riverside walks take you to the Sage and Baltic music and contemporary art galleries. From the main railway station you can travel on to Edinburgh, Durham or York. Beach ¼ mile.
