Very close to Amble and Warkworth two popular places yet very different, a village pub is only a few minutes’ walk from your cottage and an award winning ice cream dairy is only a mile along a winding country lane.
Your stone built holiday home is all on one level with fabulous attention to details throughout. The large open plan living space has been carefully designed to offer comfort whilst offering that feeling of being somewhere special. Bright and airy with comfortable seating and stylish furnishings. With two bedrooms, one with a kingsize bed, the Jack and Jill bathroom leads from here or into the passage way for easy access if there are four guests.
Nearby Warkworth has the castle that sits at the top of the hill dominating the village with a lovely riverside walk and quaint bespoke shops and cafes. Amble is a popular small seaside town with a working harbour, harbour pod shopping area and plenty of cafes and restaurants. Acklington village is an ideal location to explore all the surrounding areas, Northumberland is such a diverse county with miles of golden sandy beaches nearby and the most stunning National Park famed for its dark skies. Head up further north and discover Holy Island where the Lindisfarne Gospels were kept and Bamburgh with the cliff top castle. Wherever you go from Ivy Cottage you will be sure of a warm and genuine welcome from the local Northumbrian people. Beach 3 miles.
