The popular Kirkley cycle cafe is only 1 mile away it offer outdoor sitting, food, drinks and cycle hire. Due to the low sky pollution in Northumberland this property is ideal for star gazing on cold clear nights. Relax between trees in a hammock and watch the stars in the winter or listen to the birds and the trees sway through the day in the summer months. This perfect location is close to Kirkley Hall and zoo and is also an ideal location for people wanting a one night stop off before catching a flight as Newcastle airport is only 3 miles away from this countryside location and a shuttle to the airport can be arranged. It is also close to a great road network to discover all of Northumberland and beyond, Ponteland is located 2 miles away and has a fine selection of pubs, cafés and shops with a large supermarket. Close by is the Milkhope centre with a fabulous Blacksmith tea room, farm shop and bijoux shops. The Northumberland Cheese Farm is only a couple of miles away.
Travelling to the coast doesn’t take long with the fabulous road network, travel to Alnwick in 30-minutes and visit the majestic castle featured in ’Harry Potter’, perfect for fans who may wish to book a broomstick experience! Newcastle city centre and the metro centre are easily reached from here should you fancy a day exploring the historic buildings, bars and cafés. After a day out exploring it is wonderful to know you can return to this lovely home for some relaxation. Be sure to look out and identify some of the wildlife, sometimes there is an owl outside and the fantail doves have a dovecote; sit back and watch the resident fantail doves circle the sky and impress their mate with their amazing flying skills and courtship and watch the inquisitive chickens. Next door is a farm and on the other side nearby there is an equestrian centre.
