The Cooperage

Renovated in 2022 The Cooperage has ample space for up to 5 with a wonderful sunroom on the side stepping out onto a large, decked area overlooking the garden. Only a few minutes’ walk from the award-winning pub in Newton on the Moor this 200-year-old cottage oozes character and charm retaining a homely feel throughout. South facing the dining area and sunroom is bathed in natural light and wonderful place to sit and relax after day out exploring. On cooler evening you can sit and relax by the comforting wood burning stove in the living room. With bedrooms on both levels the property offers flexibility for sleeping.
Newton on the Moor is nestled between the Cheviot Hills and the stunning heritage coast close to the A1 so ideally located for exploring all of Northumberland and beyond. Alnwick is only 4 miles with the majestic castle featured in Harry Potter, cobbled streets and lots of cafes and restaurants to choose from. Fishing is nearby at Swarland and Thrunton with Horse Riding only 4 miles. Head North up to Bamburgh with the cliff top castle used in many films or onto Holy Island steeped in history, or perhaps a trip inland over the national park to Kielder water or Hadrian’s Wall. The location of the Cooperage makes it so easy to travel and explore all of this super friendly county where you will be assured of a true Geordie welcome.
