Aptly named, The Potions Room is hidden away in a quiet spot within the former Pharmacy Building accessed from the main street, inside you will find everything you need for a comfortable and memorable staycation. Immerse yourself in the magic of the wizarding world just 200m from the Castle recognised as Hogwarts by legions of Harry Potter fans! The comfortable living accommodation is open plan with smart TV, without doubt the showstopper is the themed bedroom: featuring a unique, kingsized, four poster bed with full length curtains and decorated to a magically inspired "Potions Room" theme. The ornaments have been lovingly gathered and made by the owners.
Outside there is a small communal garden area which guests are welcome to use- there is seating and a table. The hot tub is in a locked enclosure for privacy and only guests of The Potions Room have keys to this. There is space to hang towels and robes while you are out there. Out and about there is so much to see and do. Visit the Alnwick Garden with its spectacular interpretation of a formal garden, Grand Cascade waterfall, poison garden and largest tree house in Europe where guests can dine in the restaurant. Just 4 miles drive is the coastal village of Alnmouth with gorgeous golden sandy beach. A short drive west brings you to the small town of Rothbury, found nestled at the foot of the Simonside Hills and where the River Coquet ebbs and flows.
Visit the delightful fishing village of Seahouses. Enjoy a stroll around the harbour, take a boat trip to the Farne Islands, ideal for wildlife lovers, where you can observe the puffins and seals relaxing on the rocks. Walkers and cyclists can join the coastal path in either direction to further explore the picturesque coastline. A little further North discover miles of magnificent sandy beaches, as well as the village of Bamburgh, which is known for its dominant hilltop castle, overlooking the sea, along with its lighthouse, museum and golf club.
