Welcome to Crookham Dairy! This has been the owner’s family home since 1942, and is a house full of happy memories. Here you are sure to have a great holiday and a truly wonderful stay!
Crookham Dairy is a small farm and as a former dairy once provided milk and produce to the village. The house was built around 1915 and the building attached to the house is a former butcher’s shop, which now contains a table tennis table, great fun for all the family! Original features have been maintained throughout the property wherever possible.
The living room on the ground floor enjoys an open fire for those cold evenings after a day of exploring the surrounding area and activities. There is a separate dining room which leads into the kitchen. The kitchen retains the farmhouse feel, it is well-equipped with appliances and is fitted with oak and pine units.
Upstairs there are three good sized bedrooms and a family bathroom with a shower and a bath. There is an additional shower and toilet downstairs. The sleeping arrangements are flexible, with the larger room fitted with a super kingsize bed, which can be made into two single beds by prior arrangement. The second bedroom contains a kingsize bed and the third room two single beds.
There is an open garden to the front of the property and a private enclosed yard area to the rear, along with a seating area. Parking is available on the quiet village street immediately in front of the property.
There is a public footpath, accessed from the side of the property which opens up onto a fantastic view, ideal for an evening stroll, or just to sit on the seat on the lane and watch the world go by. See if you can spot the three castles!
The property is in the perfect location with many major visitor attractions within an hour’s travel and you are only 6 miles from Scotland! There is an award-winning village shop at Cornhill-on-Tweed, just 4 miles away and a lovely pub and restaurant less than a mile from the property.
Please note, the property and outside areas are strictly No Smoking.
