In the village of Norham, which sits off the banks of the River Tweed, you’ll find the perfect home away from home for a family break. Just over the River Tweed which borders England and Scottish Borders at Coldstream, this property has the perfect position to explore the Northumbrian coastline and countryside, and into the rolling hills of The Scottish Borders. The property and 9-minutes walk from Norham Castle. The village pub is 5-minutes walk as is the village convenience shop and Butchers.
With Berwick-upon-Tweed less than 5 miles away, the village of Norham is just over an hour from both Edinburgh and Newcastle. Within the property there are three bedrooms sleeping five or six in the three bedrooms. However it’s ideally suited to sleep five in exceptional comfort. The principal bedroom has a kingsize bed, the second room has twin beds and the third bedroom has a single bed and an additional Z-bed can be made up, just in case. The living space is excellent with an open fire for those afternoons and evenings where you want to curl up and keep cosy. For preparing and enjoying meals, the well-equipped kitchen is ideal. On sunny days, guests can enjoy the well kept, landscaped gardens to both the front and back. A three-minute walk will take you to the River Tweed, which be enjoyed by all due to the wildlife and beautiful surroundings, plus a 9-minute walk to Norham Castle. Less than 5-minute walk to village pub, where lunch and evening meals are served. You will also find a butcher and village shop which covers most essentials and more. A trip to Berwick is a must where you can stroll the city walls or even arrange a boat trip. The coastal stretch of beach at Goswick stretches down as far as the Holy Island of Lindisfarne, and occasionally you may find yourselves being the only people on the beach. The nearby River Tweed is famed the world over for its salmon fishing, however it should be noted that fishing is strictly by permit only, which can be purchased from the village pub.
