Broomhills Bothy is a quaint country cottage full of character, some would argue the place is very ’Scottish’. Located on a working farm, it’s located in the Cheviot hills with some amazing views and spectacular sunsets. The two-bedroom cottage is ideal for a couple who like their own space, a small family or even three or four friends, bearing in mind that the bedrooms are fitted as one double and one twin. Located upstairs in the cottage they are accessed by a traditional staircase. The shower room is downstairs. A nice feature of this property is the kitchen, which like the living room has its own wood burner - just like the old days. There’s also a barbecue outside for times when the sun is shining. The outdoor area has a huge lawn area which is ideal for children and well-behaved dogs. There is garden furniture and a Firepit for summer evenings.
The surrounding area offers guests a chance to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life. While there isn’t a shop or pub within walking distance guests will be in awe at the scenery and will soon forget about amenities. That said, neighbouring towns and villages including Hawick and Jedburgh are easily reached within 15 minutes by car. Discover the history and people that makes this area so famous. From Mary Queen of Scots actual holiday house in Jedburgh to the legendary Jim Clark’s Motor Racing Museum in Kelso. Almost every corner you turn here in the Scottish borders you’ll discover something to talk about and discover.
The Bothy is close to magnificent Keilder and Glentress which is world renowned for mountain biking and some extreme activities. Also close by at St Boswells is a rail link to Edinburgh.
