Cross Keys Cottage sits next to Appleby Castle in the county town of Westmorland, Appleby is a historic market town sitting along the River Eden in the beautiful Eden Valley. Full of charm and character, the eclectic history of the town is evident straight away. The market crosses, mark the site of the original market, the unusually wide main street, Boroughgate, runs from the cloisters to the castle entrance. A fine mix of cafés, traditional pubs and independent retailers offer something for everyone.

Sitting on the Settle-Carlisle railway line, guests may wish to take advantage of the opportunity to enjoy the wider area.
