Swallows Byre is a charming cottage nestled on the edge of Low Row, surrounded by open countryside with fields running down to the banks of the River Swale. Swallows Byre is situated over the garden wall from Intake Cottage, and retains the same beautiful south facing views. This conversion incorporates the best of old and new design using the compact space with maximum natural light encompassing quality tasteful furnishings and having central heating. Upside down by design, the first floor living Room boasts oak flooring complimented with wood burning stove. Back down to the ground floor you’ll find the kitchen, being well equipped with everything you may need to rustle up a homely meal, and enjoys under floor heating. The bedroom will welcome you with a double antique bed for a comfy night’s sleep, with plentiful storage space and a dressing area. The bathroom has a lovely roll top bath, with hand shower. Alternatively, the nearby village of Reeth has pubs and restaurants serving good food, as well as a convenience store, post office, bakery and a craft centre. Askrigg, just a 30 minute drive away, has village shops and pubs. Take time to visit Richmond to explore Richmond Castle, the Georgian Theatre or Easby Abbey, or the bustling market towns of Leyburn and Hawes are also within easy reach over in neighbouring Wensleydale.
