This idyllic country cottage mixes original charm with modern amenities and welcomes you from the minute you step through the door with comfortable sofa set in front of a cosy woodburning stove. The owners have lovingly restored the cottage to provide comfortable and well-equipped accommodation.
Downstairs you will find a stylish kitchen with modern appliances – well equipped to rustle up a morning breakfast before you set out for the day. Upstairs is your master bedroom, with gorgeous comfortable kingsize bed and high-quality bed linen to ensure a good night’s sleep. The modern, newly installed bathroom has a fabulous double, walk-in rainfall style shower.
The cottage is set in the picturesque village of Exelby, just 2 miles from the market town of Bedale, a stone’s throw from the traditional, community owned village pub. With a local welcome, open fire and serving local ales and good hearty food. If you are looking to celebrate a special occasion the extended area boasts many excellent restaurants.
Set within beautiful countryside, Exelby is an ideal base for guests to enjoy walking or cycling and exploring the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. When getting out and about you are simply spoilt for choice!
Within a 15-minute drive visit the historic market town of Masham, with local pubs, restaurants, shops, Black Sheep and Theakston Brewery are within easy reach, along with a lovely gin distillery where tours can be booked. Masham has one of the largest market squares in the country, where a Wednesday market has been joined by a popular Saturday market, a great place to purchase local produce. The cottage is also well placed for walking and exploring the stunning Yorkshire Dales with its scenic walks and bike trails, whilst the fashionable spa town of Harrogate, the cathedral city of Ripon, Fountains Abbey, RHS Garden Harlow Carr and Studley Royal are just a short drive away. Pub and restaurant 15 yards.
