Hillgarth is a fantastic detached holiday home that is situated at the top of the picturesque village of Askrigg, right in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park – judged by The Times as the ‘Best village for a holiday home’. The property is fully equipped and decorated to a very good standard, combining traditional features with modern amenities for a cosy and welcoming home-from-home. There’s also a substantial, fully enclosed garden and patios, which become excellent sun traps, with stunning views of the dales. There is car parking for 3 cars on land adjacent to the house accessed by a narrow track. Set within the Upper Wensleydale valley, the village’s old-world charms made Askrigg the perfect backdrop for the popular TV series ‘All Creatures Great and Small’. Shop 75 yards, pub and restaurant 25 yards. There is fishing on the Ure at Bainbridge, Aysgarth, Warton and Hawes subject to buying a day ticket.
