Harwell Cottage is a delightful cottage set in the heart of the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Step inside into the living area and be greeted by wooden beams and exposed stone throughout due to the cottage being part of the historic Harewell Hall. A comfortable seating area surrounds the wood burner and is an ideal spot from which to enjoy social time together after a day’s exploring this stunning area. The country style kitchen sits to one end and offers a host of modern appliances and plenty of room for food preparation. On the same floor is the good-sized bedroom with a plush super kingsize bed and plenty of storage. Across the hall is the house shower room offering a large walk-in shower and heated towel rail. To the rear of the cottage is the garden with a small lawned area with seating; here you can enjoy an early morning coffee or enjoy an al fresco glass of fizz.
A network of paths go through the owners working farm with a river and forest and higher land perfect to explore, it really is a walkers paradise. On an evening there is little light pollution so star gazing is amazing, and you can hear nothing at night but the owls and the occasional fox bark. If you don’t fancy cooking, then head over to the Pateley Bridge which is within walking distance from the cottage and enjoy a glass or two of your favourite holiday tipples and some delicious pub grub or wander down the high street where there are many shops, cafes, pubs and independent shops. The market town of Masham is 10 miles away and, further afield, the cathedral city of Ripon is 40 minutes or the stylish spa town of Harrogate a 45-minute drive. Nearby National Trust attractions include the magnificent Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal near Ripon and Brimham Rocks in Summerbridge.
