Martins Farm is a five-bedroom luxury property completely renovated throughout in 2021 to provide beautiful accommodation.
Set within the stunning Swaledale countryside in the charming hamlet of Healaugh, just 1 mile west of Reeth. This dog-friendly property has a fabulous light filled kitchen, with central island, granite worktops, gas range cooker and all the appliances you will need to cater for your group. The impressive farmhouse table is large enough to gather the family around and makes a perfect social space. With wooden beams, flagged floors, exposed stonework and log burners adding to the high specification of fixtures and fittings. There is plenty of space for a large group to enjoy themselves, with separate snug with stove and Smart TV, games and maps, the large living area is a great space with the beautiful inglenook the focal point with comfortable sofas and chairs and bi-folding doors leading out onto the patio. This is a great space to entertain everyone, with hot tub, firepit, built in BBQ, pizza oven and outdoor kitchen, plenty of seating to eat al fresco and snuggle round the fire as the sun goes down. Bedrooms are spacious and stylishly decorated, with a good assortment of sleeping arrangements, comfortable beds and crisp bedding, perfect combination for a good night’s sleep.
Swaledale is a walkers’ and cyclists’ paradise, with many routes starting right from the door, situated right on the coast-to-coast route and has featured in 2014 Tour de France route. The property has its own enclosed paddock and horse-riding enthusiasts are welcome to bring their horses by private arrangement with owners. The rear of the property is fully enclosed for the safety of children and pets. And there’s even a warm outdoor shower provided for our furry friends. Out and about you can enjoy a pleasant half an hour walk along the river to Reeth with shops, bakeries, pubs, restaurants and popular weekly market. 10 miles to the east is the market town of Richmond with its historic castle, colourful market square and beautiful riverside walks, whilst the market towns of Leyburn and Hawes are just a short drive away. Aysgarth Falls, Semerwater and Hardraw Force, England’s highest single drop waterfall, are also all within easy driving distance.
This is an ideal location for touring the Yorkshire Dales and Moors and the perfect base for a special get-together, at any time of year.
