The owner operates a wellbeing business offering a range of pre-bookable activities. Close by is Broughton Hall Estate at which guests can book exhilarating Land Rover driving experiences taking in the beauty of the estate whilst putting their driving skills to the test.
The living space in the cottage is open plan throughout the first floor which presents a fully equipped, well presented kitchen for all your culinary needs should you not wish to dine at the many restaurants nearby, a cosy living area with a multi-fuel burner adding additional heat and charm along with a Smart TV giving guests a perfect area to relax in after a day’s exploring. On the second floor you have the master bedroom with kingsize bed and a second bedroom with twin beds, both with luxury linen guaranteeing a perfect night’s sleep. On the same floor there is the delightful bathroom stocked with organic Neal’s Yard products, a shower over the bath should you wish to have a long soak and a heated towel rail.
The market town of Skipton has so much to offer, from a great selection of independent shops, pubs and restaurants to the ancient castle which is open daily. The market sits on the cobbled area either side of the main thoroughfare. With its wonderful canal path and pretty long boats, you can book a day’s boat ride and enjoy the stunning Yorkshire Dales countryside from the water.
Towns close by also include the spa towns of Ilkley and Harrogate which both include the legendary Betty’s Cafe tea rooms where afternoon tea is a must. If you did want to leave the driving for another day, there are plenty of beautiful walks straight from your doorstep along with a fantastic village pub serving high quality food with daily specials and a selection of local ales. The lakeside bar at the adjoining fishing lakes is a 5-minute walk and opens Friday to Sunday. Staycations don’t get much better than at The Wellbeing Cottage, the only issue you will have is trying to fit everything in whilst enjoying all that the property itself has to offer!
