The shepherd’s hut is tucked away in a secluded part of the owners’ lovely gardens, overlooking green fields and moors, yet within the heart of the charming village of Coxwold. Near Helmsley and perfectly set inside the stunning North York Moors National Park.
Equipped with a kingsize bed with a Hypnos mattress you are guaranteed a perfect night’s sleep. The shepherd’s hut has a fold-away dining table and chairs, perfect for breakfast or afternoon tea with a small kitchenette for food preparation. Separate from the living quarters is a small shower room within the shepherds hut with a heated towel rail, toilet and hand basin. Outside the hut is set within its own private garden with an outdoor seating area and barbeque, a wonderful place to sit and relax with a glass of your favourite holiday tipple.
The village itself, with its historic church and the traditional village pub, is the perfect location for a relaxing holiday, romantic break, foodie or shopping weekend or alternatively as a base for walking, cycling or other outdoor pursuits. The village of Coxwold has hard-standing tennis courts which you are welcome to enjoy. You can enjoy the best of Yorkshire: foodie heaven with great gastro pubs and restaurants; great heritage, from Shandy Hall, Newburgh Priory and Byland Abbey within the environs of Coxwold to Castle Howard or Fountains Abbey which are just a half-hour drive away. Within easy reach are great market towns including Easingwold, Helmsley and Malton along with quirky places like the neighbouring village of Kilburn, famous for Mouseman furniture, and the famous White Horse carved into Sutton Bank. The most amazing walking country is accessible right from our doorstep in the stunning North York Moors National Park so make sure you pack your walking boots.
