Two Hoots

Two Hoots is a charming lodge on the edge of the picturesque village of Newton on Derwent, just outside the ancient city of York. This well-presented lodge makes a perfect base for a family or group of friends to enjoy a relaxing break in Yorkshire. Two Hoots offers open plan living with a traditional wood burner and large picture windows providing views across open farmland to the Yorkshire Wolds beyond. The modern kitchen is well appointed and has plenty of worktop space for preparation of meals. The dining area sits to one side and is the ideal spot for planning the day ahead. Two large sofas sit close to the wood burner, here you can cosy up during the cooler winter months and enjoy watching your favourite programme on the large Smart TV.

During summer, throw open the patio doors and enjoy a glass or two of your favourite holiday tipple on the furnished decking area. This property offers two beautifully furnished zip and link super king double rooms, the largest of which has an en-suite shower room. The recently refurbished third bedroom has a comfortable double bed. The recently refurbished bathroom offers a walk-in shower and hot tub changing space to complete the accommodation. The outside grounds also include an orchard, lawn, and parking for four cars at the front of the lodge.

The nearby village of Wilberfoss offers a convenience store, independent butcher and pub serving cask ales and traditional home cooked food. Just a short 20-minute drive away is the beautiful city of York with its majestic Minster, Jorvik Viking Centre, and National Railway Museum. York also has a plethora of shops, bars, and restaurants. Easily accessible are the North Yorkshire Moors and the coastal resorts of Scarborough, Bridlington, and Whitby, as is the thriving market town of Pocklington.
