Fleece Cottage forms part of Halifax Estates and can be found in the pretty village of Bishop Wilton on the edge of the stunning unspoilt rolling hills Yorkshire Wolds midway between York and the traditional seaside town of Bridlington. This historic cottage oozes charm and character. The interior has been carefully designed and the furnishings hand picked to include everything you could possibly need to enjoy a break away and some much needed quality time with family and friends. On arrival enter the property and be welcomed by the spacious hall where you can find access to the garage, bike store and a cloakroom. Beyond here is the very spacious sitting room with exposed beams and large feature fireplace with a wood burner. This room is all about family and spending quality time together. In the evening, come together to enjoy a competitive board game or game of cards or relax in front of the roaring wood burner and enjoy a family movie night. The kitchen is an absolute delight with slate floor, exposed beams and an original wrought iron open fire. This room offers a large electric range cooker and a host of high quality appliances. Additional seating can be found at the central island; an ideal place to sit and enjoy a glass of wine whilst watching the chef in the group cook dinner. The dining table sits to one end and provides plenty of seating for eight. A door leads from the kitchen via an entry porch to the enclosed rear garden and patio. After a long day exploring the local area, take the cottage stairs to the first floor and find three beautifully presented bedrooms. Each individually styled and dressed with luxury soft furnishings. The first is a delightful twin bedded room with private toilet and two further bedrooms with kingsize beds, one with an en-suite shower room. The first floor accommodation is completed with a house bathroom offering both bath and shower options. From the kitchen, step outside into the enclosed garden which features a patio area with additional seating, a neatly trimmed lawn and borders packed with spring bulbs and summer flowers. Enjoy an al fresco early morning coffee or take advantage of there being little light pollution and enjoy a spot of stargazing.

A short drive from Fleece Cottage could find you in any number of beautiful market towns and historic cities from the ancient walled city of York, the minster town of Beverley or the market towns of Pocklington and Malton. During your stay discover the Yorkshire Wolds Way national trail or bring your bike along to cycle the route 66 cycle network that passes through Market Weighton. You could time your visit to watch Kiplingcotes Derby, England’s oldest horse race which has been run every year since 1519 crossing farm lanes, tracks and public roads in The Yorkshire Wolds. Fleece Cottage promises to be the perfect get away for your relaxing family holiday.
