Dairy Cottage

Formerly part of a group of farm buildings, Dairy Cottage is part of a courtyard development of former farm buildings on a still active working farm, and now offers spacious and carefully presented holiday accommodation, ideal for families and couples. With gardens and outdoor seating both at the front and the rear of the property and extensive underfloor heating inside the property, this cottage is perfect whatever the weather. The cottage is located on the same site as York Golf Range, which appeals to all ages, as visitors can enjoy playing 9 holes on the pay and play course, putt to victory on the crazy golf, or kick a hole in one on the footgolf. Piglets Adventure Farm is located less than a mile away, where children can visit the animal barn and stroke bunnies, brush the pigs and even milk a cow, and they may be lucky enough to see some piglets being born. The farm is packed with attractions including pedal go-karts, pink barrel train and giant sand pit, and provides a memorable day out for all.
The bustling villages of Haxby and Strensall are just 3 miles away and offer a variety of pubs, restaurants, grocery shops and takeaways, and the ancient walled city of York, 7 miles, is easily accessible by car or ’Park and Ride. ’ Steeped in history and teeming with attractions York has something to offer all year round. There are museums and art galleries, festivals and markets, river boat trips and street entertainers. The magnificent minster, the Jorvik Viking Centre and the Railway Museum are not to be missed. Days out can be spent at Castle Howard and Breezy Knees Gardens, or take an easy 30-minute drive to the market town of Pickering where you can board the famous steam train for a scenic trip through the North York Moors National Park.
