The Granary

A short drive from the medieval city of York, these properties are nestled into the open countryside, on a working farm, just outside the village of Wilberfoss, offering superb accommodation with many traditional features. Both properties are perfect for family and friends looking to holiday in the East Riding of Yorkshire all year round. With wooden floors and beams, they ooze charm and character. Both properties have a sleek kitchen/dining room that is well equipped to help you prepare some lovely home-cooked meals. The living areas are large and airy with more than enough seating to relax after a long day exploring the local area. They both also have use of well-maintained private gardens with seating areas, perfect for an al fresco breakfast, or to sit a while with your favourite holiday tipple and watch the sun set over this peaceful retreat.
The Granary has three lovingly furnished bedrooms all on the first floor with a mix of double and single beds. However, The Dairy offers four bedrooms set over the ground and first floor, with a mix of doubles, singles, and bunk rooms.

The Village of Wilberfoss has all you need for essentials, with a small well-stocked village shop. Just a short drive away is the park and ride which will bring you into the centre of York, where you will find world-class attractions. A visit to these wonderful properties would not be complete without visiting the stunning York Minster; the largest gothic cathedral this side of the Alps. York Dungeons, Jorvik Viking Museum, and the Castle Museum should also feature on your holiday itinerary. A little further afield are the unspoiled Yorkshire Wolds and The Howardian Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, where you will find the iconic Castle Howard, home of ITV’s Brideshead Revisited. Or head to the North York Moors National Park to experience some great walks and cycling routes or perhaps some traditional fish and chips at the seaside town of Whitby. Shop, restaurant 1 mile and pub 1½ miles.
