There are stately homes at Castle Howard and Nunnington Hall, abbey ruins at Rievaulx and Byland, and family fun at Flamingo Land and ‘Go Ape’ in Dalby Forest. The North York Moors and the seaside resorts of Whitby, Scarborough and Filey are all easily accessible, whilst the ancient walled city of York is just a 40-minute drive and not to be missed when visiting this beautiful part of Yorkshire.
